Samsung Tab has a much better battery life. Surface Pro 7 is well known for having a terrible battery, so make sure you get the PLUS version or the Pro 8 which are ok. But still doesn't last as long as the Samsung. The Surface has unlimited Windows updates. So in theory you will have an updated system for as long as the machine lasts.
