I’ve been playing on controller in fortnite since season 1. I have earnings. The aim assist is horrible. No aim assist in bushes and no aim assist in windows. Also you will randomly lose aim assist in certain situations like spraying a weapon or using a red-eye rifle. It turns on and off whenever it wants to and it’s quite frankly annoying.

Only PC controller has been nerfed; console still has the same aim assist as it did in c2s2. Console also has half the recoil as all PC players, PC controller included. Only the stinger has less aim assist, on all platforms. Last Gen console has a fair amount of aim assist and recoil, but next gen has too much aim assist and not enough recoil.
Im pretty good at shooters on controller and can say that after getting use to Gyro Aim over the last couple months on PS5, its superior to traditional stick aiming. Even with decent aim assist, you gain way more speed with control and dont have moments where youre actually fighting against aim assist.
PC Controller Aim Assist Nerf: Everything will operate at 60hz just like console controller aim assist. Fortnite Creative 'Fortnite' update 12.50 adds some prefabs and fixes some bugs.
The removal of aim assist is unfair to the majority of controller players. I understand that the top tier of controller players abused aim assist, but for the 95% of controller players that don’t have godly aim, we are now screwed. I would consider myself above average at best, but with aim assist I actually had a chance of hitting someone
