Hello. I have a problem with the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S 2017, the motorcycle does not start, it is completely dead, the display does not work. When the battery is connected, the diode on the display does not light up only once when I disconnect and reconnect the battery, I checked the fuses and they are good, the battery too.
Y. As for gearing, 1290's have a ridiculously tall 6th gear, switching to a 16t countershaft sprocket or a 45t rear allows you to actually use 6th gear below 80mph. On my previous 2015 1290 SA, 6th was perfectly ok at 100kmh (60mph), lots of torque, no problem. #11.

The 1290 Super Adventure S is an exceptional machine from KTM but it’s not for everyone. The sheer size of the bike means even for me at 6’1” I found I had to be a careful in getting the bike off the side stand and on its way, and the overwhelming number of electronic parameters will no doubt put a few buyers off.
Bike is 2019 made Super Adventure S, at 17000Km. All the softwares are updated. Even not trying to adjust the preload, this failure comes out, on the ride, or even when not moving the bike. Battery new, rear suspension new, also preload adjuster ecu is new. All of these are replaced by servise to be able to solve this problem.
